In the past development cycles we have done a lot to ensure that ScriptRunner can be optimally integrated into existing IT infrastructure and systems.
The attached figure gives an overview of the integration technologies and is particularly important for larger customers.
ScriptRunner Integration Technologies
What integration technologies do we provide?
Call of ScriptRunner by external third party systems. Monitoring systems, IT service management systems, ticket systems, other management systems are mentioned here; the call can be made directly via our WebService interface, via Scripted WebService calls with PowerShell, Bash etc. (on source system), via a specific Call-EXE with parameter transfer via file, in future also via inbound mail with parameters in the mail body. The latter is a very simple way to use ScriptRunner with legacy systems.
Feedback of results, reports, etc. to the calling systems.
Call of external third party systems via ScriptRunner actions. These two functions allow scenarios for full automation with ScriptRunner
Simultaneous writing of results and reports into an external SQL database for auditing and further processing of the information for specific evaluations.
Use of Git-Hub, SVN or TFS as repository with version control for the scripts
Replacement of the ScriptRunner apps to your own interfaces by means of our WebService interface. This can be useful if the ScriptRunner functions are to be addressed from another UI.
Through all these technologies we can ensure that ScriptRunner experiences a wide range of applications as an automation platform for our customers.
Extend ScriptRunner with optionally available interfaces and integrate your monitoring, IT service management, ticket, rights management system, etc. to create fully automated control loops in your IT operations.
